"Golui" is a 2022 Bangladeshi period romantic drama directed by SA Haque Alik and produced by Khorshed Alam Khosru. The film stars Shakib Khan as Lalu, a professional drummer and esteemed boat racer in his village, and Puja Cherry as Mala, his love interest. Set against the backdrop of traditional boat racing in rural Bengal, the narrative delves into the cultural heritage and daily lives of the villagers. The supporting cast includes Azizul Hakim, Suchorita, and Fazlur Rahman Babu.

Filming commenced on September 23, 2021, at Mohera Zamindar Bari in Mirzapur, Tangail, and spanned various locations, including the Jamuna char area of Jamalpur District. The production concluded after 40 days. The film was released on May 3, 2022, coinciding with Eid al-Fitr, and later premiered in the United States on July 15, 2022. "Golui" achieved commercial success, grossing approximately ৳6 crore (US$490,000) against a budget of ৳2.5 crore (US$210,000).

The film received critical acclaim, winning Best Story for Khorshed Alam Khosru and Best Dialogue for SA Haque Alik at the 47th National Film Awards.


Despite its success, actress Puja Cherry expressed equal importance for both "Golui" and her other Eid release, "Shaan," highlighting her excitement for both projects.
